Feature Set
FLOOD:Surf Node
- Provides a UI to specify wind speed, wave choppiness and other parameters.
- Tools connected to the Node respond dynamically when changes are made to specific parameters.
FLOOD:Surf Mesh
- Creates a camera-adapted ocean surface.
- The Render Range mode provides a consistent topology, tessellating the area viewed by the camera so that it is adapted for every frame in the render range.
- For large camera moves, the Dynamic Mode can re-mesh on each frame to maintain detail levels.
FLOOD:Surf Modifier
- Deforms a mesh using the parameters in the Node, with optional mapping information.
- Controls the blending of two Nodes.
FLOOD:Surf Delta Map
- A Node-driven procedural map that describes ocean surface deformation.
- Create masks based on wave height.
- Conveniently export maps via MAXScript.
FLOOD:Surf Foam Map
- A Node-driven procedural map that indicates foam potential.
- Generates white areas along wave peaks and provides masks for foam textures or particle generation.
FLOOD:Surf Area Map
- A Node-driven procedural map that indicates the amount of ocean surface compression.
- Use in conjunction with (or as an alternative to) the Foam Map.
Ocean Surface Shader
- Simulates appearance of water for realistic ocean surfaces.
- Adds highlights to ocean surfaces, including distant highlights to areas with less detailed surface geometry.
FLOOD:Surf tools
- Can be accessed through MAXScript for full control in production environments.
